Just In: Jayson Tatum Discloses His Sweet Retaliation Against LeBron James

Since LeBron James and Jayson Tatum are teammates on Team USA, it was the ideal opportunity for the Boston Celtics player to reminisce on a past encounter with his childhood hero.

Tatum was reminded by the USA Basketball social team of the occasion when James ignored him when he requested for an autograph. It was a tale Tatum had previously shared while signing basketballs, and it took place during James’ time as a member of the Cleveland Cavaliers.

According to an NBA video, Tatum stated, “He didn’t tell me no, but he kind of told me no.” “Back in Memphis many years ago, my dad’s greatest buddy was Larry Hughes. Together, they played the Cavs. I went to a Memphis game with my mother. I was hoping to meet LeBron and get an autograph and photo with him. He said, “I’m out,” as there were many people back there. I had to leave. And I started crying when I got in the car. But we’re cool now.

Before Team USA practice, Tatum and James were told the story, which brought back memories of the Celtics star’s game-winning poster dunk in the 2018 Eastern Conference finals. “I refused to give him the autograph that he requested.” Said James. “When did that happen?”

“Around eleven,” Tatum remarked.
