Lewis Hamilton has been acting decisively lately. The British driver will be joining the Ferrari team after about ten years with Mercedes, it was announced at the start of the year. It was his eleventh home victory, and he just set a new record at Silverstone. And he changed careers again this summer, going from driving to designing for Dior.
In addition to representing the French fashion house’s male line, the 39-year-old has collaborated with Kim Jones, artistic director of Dior, to create a lifestyle capsule for spring 2025. With a practical attitude from his athletic background, Hamilton gives the opulent pieces a feeling of groundedness.
Anticipate new weaves created in Burkina Faso with denim and sweatshirts, as well as classic Dior tweeds in more relaxed suiting. Beanies, sunglasses, and jewelry all reflect Hamilton’s natural streetwear sense, while skiers heading to Val d’Isère this winter may deck out in Dior-branded gear that draws from the technical know-how of Japanese firm Descente.
According to Hamilton in the collection notes, “Our ideas and values are aligned, making it easy to bring to life a creative collection infused with our shared experiences.” It has been incredibly exciting to combine inspiration from my African roots—drawing from their fabrics and belief in natural materials, as well as from brilliant colors and strong energy—with a focus on responsible decisions and pushing boundaries with each creation.

Hamilton has experience working in the fashion industry; he has previously co-designed projects with Tommy Hilfiger. Therefore, it should come as no surprise that these items possess the sophisticated eye of a seasoned professional.
We know what he should do if he ever decides to quit his day job, though.
Starting on October 17, 2024, Dior shops and dior.com will carry the spring 2025 collection.
