A man was detained Tuesday in connection with the fatal shooting of a man at 5:30 p.m. on Saturday, according to the LMPD. Author: CJ Daniels. Published at 7:00 PM. EDT: July 27, 2024 Updated at 7:17 AM EDT. July 31, 2024 Louisville, Kentucky — A Louisville man has been accused in connection with a fatal shooting in the Russell area over the weekend. Adrian Burdette has been charged with murder and possessing a weapon while a felon. Police claimed Burdette shot and killed a guy in the 1000 block of Esquire Alley at 5:30 p.m. on Saturday. According to the LMPD’s first report, the event occurred on the 1000 block of West Broadway.
The Homicide and Violent Crimes Unit took Burdette into custody on Tuesday. He is presently being imprisoned at Metro Corrections under a $500,000 cash bond. The gunshot victim has yet to be recognized.
