SOUTHAVEN, Miss. – One person was found dead in Southaven Friday morning, according to the Southaven Police Department (SPD).
SPD said they originally got a call about someone being unresponsive on Bridgewater Drive. When officers got to the scene they found that the person was dead.
Police identified and found a suspect in the death, SPD said.
The suspect and the victim knew each other and police said that this was an “isolated incident.”
“This incident is a difficult situation for the family and for the officers involved, and as such, we will not be releasing the names or ages of the victim or the suspect until a more appropriate time,” said a press release from the Southaven Police Department.
