Police investigating after woman shot to death in Louisville’s Algonquin neighborhood

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) — A woman is dead after a shooting in Louisville’s Algonquin neighborhood Wednesday night.

 

Officers were called to the 2300 block of West Gaulbert Avenue on a Shotspotter call around 10:20 p.m., Louisville Metro Police Spokesperson Dwight Mitchell said in a statement. That’s near Algonquin Park, between South 23rd and South 25th streets.

 

Once on scene, police found a woman who had been shot. She was pronounced dead at the scene, according to Mitchell.

 

LMPD’s Homicide Unit is investigating, but has no suspects and has made no arrests.
