LOUISVILLE, Ky. —

NuLu is known for its atmosphere. With small businesses and a multitude of restaurants to try, it’s not hard to find what you’re looking for.

Goldie’s, the sister bar of the new wine bar “Bar Nada Nada,” opened its door on Wednesday afternoon. The store, owned by Sarah Height and Chelsea Monsma, is a bodega and a liquor store combined.

Our tagline is ‘for the love of food.’ So, it’s all things food-related. We like to say that our entry into wine was brought about by our love of food, and we just wanted to celebrate that and bring that to everyone in NuLu and in Louisville,” said Height.

The store on East Market Street is filled with natural wine, liquor, food, coffee and even sweet treats.

This isn’t Height and Monsma’s first endeavor though. The pair also owns the Canary Club, The Breeze Coffee and Wine, and Bar Nada Nada.

“We’ve grown our team. We’re very female-led. We think it’s important and a beautiful thing to have more stores and more shops in Louisville that are women-owned,” said Height.

The pair hopes to not only provide a new local business but also a new place for people in the community to come together
