Three Los Angeles Rams players

RLos Angeles Rams add former Nebraska coach to their arsenal
Once a rising star in college football, this coach now takes on a new challenge in the NFL under Sean McVay

Scott Frost is back in the big leagues, but this time he’s making moves in the NFL. The former Nebraska football coach has officially joined the Los Angeles Rams’ coaching staff, a surprising twist that was confirmed by the team on Monday. The once-heralded college coach is now gearing up to lend his expertise to the pros, stepping into a new role under Rams head coach Sean McVay.

Frost’s journey from Lincoln to Los Angeles hasn’t been without its bumps. He led his alma mater, Nebraska, from 2018 until his unceremonious departure in September 2022, a stint that saw the Cornhuskers struggle with a 16-31 record. The final straw? A disappointing 1-2 start last season that led to his firing. But it seems Frost isn’t done yet-he’s ready to prove himself on the NFL stage.

McVay is clearly excited about adding Frost to his staff, emphasizing the coach’s versatility. “We’ve had some turnover for all the right reasons, and having someone with Scott’s experience is invaluable,” McVay shared after Monday’s practice. Frost is set to assist special teams coordinator Chase Blackburn while also providing support across the board, from offense to defense. In a league where every edge counts, McVay is betting on Frost to be that extra push the Rams need
