Next week’s SmackDown is going to be special. It is the season premiere episode of the show as the blue brand returns to the USA Network after five years. WWE will ensure to put on a spectacular event. As such, the show is set to feature a Steel Cage match for Cody Rhodes‘ Undisputed Championship, as announced on this week’s SmackDown.
After a chaotic start to the show this week, Rhodes had planned to take down Solo Sikoa. He asked the latter to step up, and the new leader of the Bloodline agreed to a match next week. However, GM Nick Aldis had enough of the controversial endings to title matches due to The Bloodline. He then announced that The American Nightmare and The Tribal Heir would be locked inside a steel cage.
It will be the rematch between the two stars after the abrupt ending of their match at SummerSlam. In their last encounter, Roman Reigns interfered and returned to take Sikoa down. The latter has been challenging to be next in line for the Undisputed Championship ever since then
