One male driver was hospitalized in critical condition after his car was rear-ended by a pickup truck at a traffic light on Balfour Road in Brentwood late Tuesday night. The other driver was also hospitalized, police said.
ConFire responded to a call regarding a multi-vehicle accident shortly after 9:30 p.m. on Balfour Road and Mc Viking Way. When they arrived, they found a small vehicle that was severely rear-ended in the eastbound lane of Balfour Road with the pickup truck that allegedly hit it with major damage to the front of the vehicle turned around at the light on Mc Viking Way.
A third vehicle was involved with minor damage suffered on the passenger side, police said.
The driver of the car suffered critical injuries, had to be extricated from the vehicle and given advanced life support before being airlifted to a nearby trauma center, while the driver of the pickup truck was taken by ambulance to another local hospital with minor injuries, police said.
There were reports from dispatch of a dead person in the back of the rear-ended SUV. But upon searching the vehicle, ConFire found a wig and a mannequin’s head.2
