Woman’s body found after entering ocean in Far North Queensland early Friday

A woman’s body has been found in a popular tourist town after she did not resurface from the sea in the early hours of Friday.The body of a woman has been recovered from a popular Queensland tourist town.

 

A search operation began in the early hours of Friday in the Far North Queensland town of Palm Cove, about 25km north of Cairns.

About 7am on Friday, Surf Life Saving Queensland volunteers found the body around the northern headland near Buchans Point Beach.
