According to a report, fewer people traveled to the Lake District in 2018 than there were prior to the outbreak.
The State of the Park report states that in 2022, little over 18 million individuals visited the area, a decrease of 1.75 million from 2019’s numbers.
The pandemic has “significantly affected” tourism, according to the Lake District National Park Authority (LDNPA). Younger people and members of ethnic minorities visited more frequently.
In 2019, 19.89 million tourists passed through the region. The Local Democracy Reporting Service states that the report was last issued in 2018.
