Beaver Dam Fire Department Extinguishes Fire At A Home In The Town of Westford

(Beaver Dam) A home was damaged by fire in the town of Westford Friday night. The Beaver Dam Fire Department was dispatched to N8456 around 9:10pm for a possible building fire.

Prior to the fire department arriving, a Dodge County sheriff’s deputy reached the scene and found smoke coming from a single-family residence. Upon arrival, crews simultaneously began extinguishing the fire and searching the structure for occupants.

Fire Chief Michael Wesle says firefighters were quickly able to determine that nobody was home at the time of the blaze. He adds that the fire was located in the attic and was fully extinguished approximately a half-hour after the fire department arrived on scene. Crews remained at the property to conduct overhaul and ensure the fire was out. The cause of the blaze has not yet been determined
