Two killed in brutal Car Crash near Macs Lake

A motorist was taken to hospital for mandatory testing following the death of a man from an e-scooter fall in Lake Macquarie on Sunday.

 

About 12.15pm on 2 June, emergency services were called to Appletree Road, West Wallsend.

 

It followed reports of a crash.

 

Officers from Lake Macquarie Police District arrived to find the rider of an e-scooter had fallen, impacting with the roadway.

 

Despite the efforts of NSW Ambulance paramedics and first responders to revive him, the man died at the scene.

 

While believed to be aged in his 30s, he’s yet to be formally identified.

 

 

A report will be prepared for the information of the Coroner.

 

The driver of a Toyota Hilux, meanwhile, was escorted to John Hunter Hospital for mandatory testing.

 

A crime scene was established and an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the crash is taking place.
