Man and his child dies in crash on Coolgardie-Esperance Highway

Police are currently looking into a deadly crash that took place in Higginsvale on Friday morning.

The crash, which happened today – the twelfth of April – on the Coolgardie-Esperance Highway, is currently being looked into by Major Crash Investigation Section officers.

“About 1.10am, a Kenworth truck travelling south bound collided with a trailer being towed by a Volvo truck travelling northbound on the Coolgardie-Esperance Highway,” said a police spokesperson.

“As a result of the collision the 65-year-old man driving the Kenworth truck suffered fatal injuries.

“The driver of the Volvo received minor injuries and was conveyed via ambulance to Kalgoorlie Regional Hospital.”

Police are investigating where the incident occurred.

They are calling for any people who saw the crash to get in touch with Crime Stoppers.
