A devastating attack by a wild animal has claimed the lives of two women in Washington’s Tahuya State Park.
*INCIDENT DETAILS*
On , at approximately 9:00 AM, park rangers responded to a distraction the park’s hiking trails. Upon arrival, they discovered the bodies of two adult females, identified as:
1. Karen Jenkins, 42, of Seattle
2. Lisa Nguyen, 35, of Tacoma

Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife (WDFW) and local authorities are leading the investigation.
“We’re working to determine the type of animal responsible and circumstances surrounding the attack,” said WDFW spokesperson, Sgt. Kim Chandler.
