Breaking News: At the ‘Moto2-like’ Gresini squad, Marquez was “reborn” following the 2024 season.

After a year at Gresini, MotoGP driver Marc Marquez said he felt “reborn” and congratulated the team for being a significant part of his career.

Despite having to settle for the outdated GP23 bike, Marquez, who left Honda with one year remaining on his contract at the end of 2023, found a new home with Ducati’s satellite team Gresini this season.

Despite a steep initial adjustment curve, the Spaniard was speedy when the new season began in March. He picked up speed during the summer break to win three games and finish third in the standings.

He is now set to compete for the title next season for the first time in five years after his early-season performance helped him secure a factory seat at Ducati starting in 2025.

Marquez claimed he needed a welcoming atmosphere to bounce back after a challenging conclusion to his 11-year career with Honda, which was marred by an uncompetitive bike and a career-altering injury.

In just one year, Gresini rose to prominence in my career, and Marquez stated, “I found the perfect atmosphere to [be] reborn, as they say on social media, to feel again that I’m competitive.”

“With my brother [Alex] as a teammate and the squad, I discovered the ideal family and environment. They constantly operated in the same manner. With the help of this really professional crew, you may accomplish your goals.

Gresini Racing, an independent team led by Nadia Padovani, the wife of late founder and former rider Fausto Gresini, has less factory assistance from Ducati than Pramac and VR46.

Marquez, however, feels that the team’s modest size was essential to reviving his career after having previously worked in the more corporate setting of a large corporation like Honda.

“I was reminded of the passion for motorcycles by being on a satellite team,” he continued. Naturally, I had a great team at Honda, along with my pals.

However, the reality is that things are a little more serious on a factory team. Thus, this one [Gresini] is a little more relaxed and recognizable.
