Texas A&M football injury report shows that Aggies could be in line to get Rueben Owens back against Texas
Texas A&M football is looking to seal their place in Atlanta this weekend with one of the biggest home games in recent memory. All the Aggies need to do is knock off no. 3 Texas, and they’re headed to the SEC Championship.
Of course, that’s much easier said than done. The Longhorns only have one loss this season, despite some pretty down showings throughout the year. The Aggies are hoping that this home environment—the likes of which Texas has not come close to seeing yet this year—will be enough to help push them over the top in this game.
It’s not just the raucous home environment that could be giving the Aggies a boost in this one, however.
After some injuries at the running back position, the Aggies are currently operating with razor-thin depth in the backfield. Amari Daniels and EJ Smith are the only scholarship RBs that the Ags have going right now after the injury to Le’Veon Moss.
However, the latest injury report gives a spark of hope on that front. Rueben Owens, who has not played for this year following an injury in fall camp, was listed as “Doubtful” last week, but showed up on yesterday’s injury report as “Questionable.”
