Sad News Legendary R&B singer’s daughter dies, the 3rd child he’s lost

Legendary R&B band, The O’Jays lead singer Eddie Levert has lost his youngest daughter, Ryan Levert, at age 22.

She is Levert’s third child to have passed away following the death of Levert’s son Gerald who died of a heart attack in 2006, and the death of Levert’s son Sean who died of an illness in 2008 while serving a jail sentence, according to the L.A Times.

Levert’s grandchildren LeMicah and Carlysia Levert confirmed the death of their late aunt in an Instagram post earlier this week.

They are the children of the late Gerald Levert.

LeMicah said he always “knew something was wrong,” when Ryan did not answer her phone, adding “now I’m going to have that feeling forever.”

“I love you @missryanlevert! I wasn’t prepared for this,” he wrote.

Carlysia shared a photo of her aunt on her Instagram story alongside a purple heart and dove emojis.

Neither post revealed more about Levert’s cause of death, though her Instagram bio says she was battling Lupus and captioned the space “Lupus fighter💜“.
