Popular 2000s rock band announces first tour in 17 years

A popular indie rock band has announced its first tour in nearly two decades.

Rilo Kiley revealed its 2025 tour dates Tuesday, including performances at the Just Like Heaven music festival in Los Angeles and the Kilby Block Party in Salt Lake City. (Scroll down for a list of concerts.)

Rilo Kiley’s reunion is highly anticipated as Jenny Lewis hasn’t performed with her former group since 2008. The band, featuring guitarist Blake Sennett, bassist Pierre de Reeder and drummer Jason Boesel, released four critically acclaimed albums between 2001 and 2007.

Pitchfork reports Rilo Kiley will celebrate the reunion by reissuing its 2002 album, “The Execution of All Things” as a special “Frozen Lake Edition” on April 25.

“It’s going to be wonderful for us, like going back to the purest version of yourself, that early twenties place where everything is possible,” Lewis said in a statement. “You’re in a van and Jason’s got the map, Pierre is behind the wheel, and I’m on the sh—y acoustic guitar on the bench seat working out a new song with Blake. I don’t think it’s ever been as good as that, when it was just us against the world.”

Rilo Kiley concert tickets are available via Vivid Seats, StubHub, and SeatGeek.

Lewis, also known for her solo work and collaborations with artists like the Watson Twins and The Postal Service (featuring Death Cab for Cutie’s Ben Gibbard), first rose to fame as an actress. The former child star notably appeared in movies like “The Wizard” (with Fred Savage), “Troop Beverly Hills” (with Shelley Long) and “Big Girls Don’t Cry… They Get Even,” plus Lucille Ball’s ‘80s TV series “Life

with Lucy.”
