Louisville man shot victim 5 times after trying to steal his laptop outside gas station, police say

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) — A 19-year-old Louisville man was charged with first degree robbery and assault after police said he shot a man and stole his laptop after agreeing to meet to buy it.

 

Louisville Metro Police said in Rickie Glaab’s arrest citation he messaged the victim to meet at at gas station near Taylor Boulevard and Interstate 264 on Feb. 28 to purchase a laptop. When they showed up at a store in the area where they’d agreed to meet, Glaab grabbed the laptop and ran.

 

Police said Glaab and the victim then got in a fight, at which point Glaab pulled a handgun and shot the victim five times in the torso, leg and arm. Glaab then ran away without the laptop.
