Inquest opens into death of Wrexham teenagers after crash
AN INQUEST has been opened into the death of two teenagers who died following a crash in Wrexham.
Adam Watkiss-Thomas, 18, of Heathwood Close, Gwersyllt and Owen Aaron Jones, 19, of Ridley View, Wrexham sadly passed away following a motorbike accident on March 21.
Today (March 31), an inquest was opened into the death of the two teenagers at Ruthin County Hall.
The inquest heard that at shortly before 11pm, paramedics were called to the scene of the road traffic collision on Wrexham Road, New Broughton with reports a motorbike had crashed.
What happens at an inquest and what can the press report?
Post mortems were undertaken with a pathologists provisional cause of death given as chest and neck injuries for Mr Jones, and chest and head injuries for Mr Watkiss-Thomas.
Kate Sutherland assistant coroner for North Wales East and Central told the court that further investigations were needed and that North Wales Police were still investigating.
The inquest was adjourned until a later date.
