Sadly: One dead, three injured in head-on crash in Muscatine County

WILTON, Iowa (Iowa’s News Now) — One person is dead and three others are injured after a head-on crash Sunday night.

The Iowa State patrol says that crash happened just after 5:30 p.m. on the1100 block of Taylor Avenue in southeast Iowa, in the town of Wilton.

One of the cars was traveling northbound when it crossed the center line, hitting a car traveling southbound head-on.

ISP says both cars were significantly damaged in the crash.

One person was killed in the crash with three others injured and taken to the hospital. Of those three, one had to be airlifted to UIHC.

The names of all involved will be released once their families have been notified.

Initial reports indicate the person who was killed and two of the injured were not wearing seatbelts. The crash remains under investigation.
