
DUNKLIN COUNTY, Mo. (KFVS) – Multiple people were killed and injured in a crash on Tuesday, April 8 in Dunklin County, Missouri.
Emergency crews were called to a three-vehicle crash on Highway 25 around 5:36 p.m.
According to Missouri State Highway Patrol Sgt. Clark Parrott, the crash happened near White Oak. This is about 2 miles north of Kennett.
Three people died at the scene and two were seriously injured.
An MSHP online report states a 58-year-old Caruthersville man driving an SUV south was passing a minivan and hit an oncoming minivan head-on.
According to MSHP, the driver of the SUV, one of his passengers, a 27-year-old Caruthersville man, and the driver of the minivan hit head-on, a 77-year-old Paragould, Arkansas woman, died at the scene.
Another passenger in the SUV, a 50-year-old Caruthersville man, and a passenger in the minivan hit head-on, a 21-year-old Paragould, Ark. woman, were seriously injured in the crash and flown to a Memphis, Tennessee hospital.
The identities of the victims are not being released at this time.
MSHP said no injuries were reported by the southbound minivan driver.
All three vehicles were reportedly totaled in the crash and towed from the scene.
The road was blocked for some time but has since reopened.
MSHP states everyone, except for the 27-year-old man, was wearing a seat belt.
