
According to Colorado State Patrol, a wreck between a semi truck and a snow plow turned fatal on Wednesday morning.
State troopers responded to the scene at about 4:53 a.m. near mile marker 57 along northbound I-25 – about seven miles north of Walsenburg.
An initial investigation indicated that the semi truck struck the snow plow from the rear, ultimately resulting in the death of the semi truck driver, according to law enforcement. The snow plow driver survived, but was injured, transported to a local hospital for care.
At this point in the investigation, Colorado State Patrol is looking for witnesses. Anyone who may have seen the crash should contact the agency at 719-544-2424.
