
One person sustained serious injuries in the incident
Three people were rushed to hospital after an Audi was smashed into a Range Rover on the hard shoulder of the M62 on Monday (March 24).
Police said one passenger was left seriously injured after the horror crash on the westbound carriageway, towards Rochdale, near junction 24 at around 12.15pm.
An urgent appeal for witnesses has been launched following the collision. West Yorkshire Police said a black Range Rover Evoque was stationary on the hard shoulder when an Audi A3 collided with it.

Three people were taken to hospital and a passenger in the Range Rover suffered serious injuries. Anyone with dashcam footage or who witnessed the crash is being urged to contact police.
A West Yorkshire Police spokesperson said: “Police are appealing for witnesses following a road traffic collision on the M62 yesterday (24/03). Shortly after 12.15pm, police received several calls relating to a collision on the westbound carriage way near to Junction 24, Ainley Top, Huddersfield.
“A black Range Rover Evoque was stationary on the hard shoulder when a black Audi A3 collided with the Range Rover. Three people were taken to hospital and a passenger in the Range Rover suffered serious injuries.
“Officers are appealing for anyone with dash cam footage of the collision or anyone who witnesses the movements of the Audi prior to the collision.
