One dead after early-morning Dunedin crash, car down bank
One person has died after a crash north of Dunedin early this morning.
Emergency services were called to the Northern Motorway south of Waitati shortly after 3.30am after reports of a car going down a bank.
“The sole occupant of the vehicle was sadly located deceased,” police said this morning
The road remains blocked while a scene examination takes place, police said.
Light vehicles are asked to follow the marked detour.
