Traffic is at a standstill on the northbound carriageway just before junction 9.

Motorway cameras also report an accident on the M11 northbound between J6 (M25 interchange) and J7 (Harlow).
Lane one of three is closed.
Elsewhere on the roads traffic is slow, particularly in the roadworks area of the A14.
Part of the A11 near Barton Mills is blocked due an obstruction in the road.

A fire on the M11 between J8 and J9 is causing heavy congestion on the motorway.
Emergency services are currently on the scene and are working to extinguish the blaze.
There are currently half an hour delays, which are expected to continue into the evening.
