The victim was identified Wednesday as Roberta Osgood, 30, of Nashville. She was transported to Vanderbilt where she died..
The incident occurred around 2 a.m. on Old Hickory Boulevard, close to Granny White Pike in Brentwood. Preliminary investigation reveals speeding and failure to maintain lane was likely the cause of the crash.
There was no evidence of alcohol or drug involvement at the scene, and Osgood was wearing a seatbelt.
Old Hickory Boulevard was closed in both directions for several hours following the crash but has since reopened
