CHESAPEAKE, Va. (WSET) — Police in Chesapake said they received a call Tuesday morning of an airplane crash at the Chesapeake Reigonal Airport.
WVEC reports that the airplane,which appears to be a single engine Cessna type of aircraft, crashed into a field approximately .3 mile beyond the end of the runway.
They said after the impact, the airplane caught fire and burned.
One person is confirmed dead.
