
Police were sent to the SPAR petrol station at Bury and Bolton Road in Radcliffe at 12.29pm after a vehicle crashed at the site.
The driver, a 80-year-old man, suffered significant injuries, and died this morning, Thursday.
Police are now appealing for witnesses to come forward.
A Greater Manchester Police spokesperson said: “Our serious collision investigation unit are now appealing for anyone who may have witnessed the incident to come forward.
“They are also keen to speak to anyone who may have any footage from the area in the moments leading up to the collision.
“Anyone with any information, dash cam or mobile phone footage is asked to contact police on 0161 856 4741 quoting log number 1,714 of May 21.

A spokesperson for SPAR North of England added: “We can confirm that there was an incident at our Radcliffe store yesterday (Wednesday) where a vehicle collided with the front of the store.
“Our store team acted quickly to assist the driver and ensure the area was made safe for other store and forecourt users.
“We have learned today that the driver has sadly passed away and our condolences go to his family and friends at this difficult time.”
