The defensive midfielder has missed the last few weeks having picked up a hamstring injury. He was back in first team training this week but suffered another cruel set-back meaning another campaign has been undermined by fitness problems.
After losing the first half of 2021/2022 to a back issue, Campbell looked as though he would go out on loan last summer only for Blues to pull the plug.
He remained around the first team squad, played in the league and Carabao Cup against Norwich City and featured in nine PDL2 matches with the Under 21s.
However, head coach John Eustace revealed the troubling news when he said: “Tatey I think is out now until the end of the season. He unfortunately dropped in for one day and now he has had a recurrence of his hamstring injury.
