UPDATE: Man killed in Tuesday’s fatal semi-truck accident identified
HOPKINSVILLE, KY (CHRISTIAN COUNTY NOW) – A person was killed after a semi-truck crashed on the interstate in Christian County, the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet estimates it will take more than four hours to clear.
The accident occurred around 9 a.m. on Tuesday, and the on ramp from U.S. 41-A southbound to I-24 westbound at the Exit 86 interchange is currently blocked while crews work to clear the wreck. The Christian County Coroner was called to the scene of the wreck due to a fatality, according to Payton Rogers with Hopkinsville EMS.
Motorists can head west of KY 117 south of I-24 to join the interstate at Exit 73 or follow I-169 from Hopkinsville to self-detour around this blockage, according to KYTC.
