Lake Ozark firefighter dies in the line of duty after long battle with cancer

LAKE OZARK, Mo. (KY3) – The Lake Ozark Fire Protection District announced the death of one of its own Saturday afternoon.

 

According to the fire district, Charles “Chuck” King died in the line of duty Saturday after a long battle with occupational cancer.

 

King served as a firefighter and EMT for the district for 17 years.

 

“We ask that you keep Chuck’s family and the brothers and sisters of the lake area in your thoughts and prayers.”

 

The fire district says funeral arrangements are being finalized.
