Today’s report: Woman from Arizona killed in crash at Lake of the Ozarks; authorities looking for unknown car involved

Following an early Sunday morning crash close to Lake of the Ozarks, an Arizona woman has passed away. A motorcycle driven by a 26-year-old male from Phoenix, Arizona, was traveling on Missouri 242, also known as Horseshoe Bend Parkway, close to the intersection of Route MM at around 12:20 in the morning, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol crash report. The motorcycle veered off the left side of the road, struck the median, and overturned, resulting in the crash. At this point, Phoenix native Larose Spencer, 35, who was riding with him, was flung from the motorcycle. The motorcycle then slid to the right side of the road and struck a curb. The motorist was sent to a medical facility with mild wounds. Both persons, according to the authorities, had on helmets.

It is suggested that anyone with information about the vehicle that struck Spencer give Sgt. Tim Fick a call at 573-751-1000. This is the 32nd fatal crash involving MSHP Troop F in 2024.
