Mississippi Highway Patrol (MHP) Senior Staff Sgt. Derrick Beckom identified the victim as Emily Newman, 71.
The wreck happened on Tuesday afternoon, Dec. 17 on Highway 9 North.
Newman’s pickup truck went off the road and struck a tree. She died at the scene of the crash.
