
4 dead, 2 people injured after gunfire erupts in Dunlap
MEMPHIS, Tenn. – A vigil meant to bring healing to the Medical District ended in horror Saturday night after gunfire broke out at the corner of Mosby and Dunlap, leaving one person dead and four others hurt.
According to the Memphis Police Department (MPD), the shooting happened around 8 p.m. as a crowd gathered to remember Alicia Stringfellow, a beloved community member whose death had already shaken the neighborhood.
The man who died in that shooting was 52, police said. MPD identified the other people injured as a 14-year-old boy, a 40-year-old man, a 42-year-old man and a 41-year-old man.
