2025 NRL Signings Tracker: De Belin to depart Dragons; Broncos land rising star
The Dragons are set to part company with long-serving forward Jack de Belin at the end of the season
The 34-year-old PNG international has so played 242 NRL matches for St George Illawarra since debuting as a 20-year-old in 2011.
The Dragons said in a statement that De Belin had recently been informed that they would not offer him a contract extension beyond this season and as a result he will be taking up an opportunity at another club from 2026.
Meanwhile, the Broncos have made a major signings splash, luring Storm youngster Grant Anderson away from Melbourne.
The winger will join the club on a two-year deal next season that will see him remain in Brisbane until the end of the 2027 campaign.
In a double-dose of good news, emerging back Josiah Karapani has signed a two-year extension that also locks him down until 2027.
Broncos skipper Adam Reynolds will line up for his 15th season in the NRL after signing a one-year deal for the 2026 season.
The 34-year-old made his NRL debut at Souths in 2013 and won a premiership with the Rabbitohs in 2014. He moved to Brisbane in 2022 and has racked up 70 games at Red Hill to take his career tally to 300 games.
Also putting pen to paper on a new deal is star centre Kotoni Staggs, who has re-signed until the end of the 2028 season.
The 26-year-old joined the Broncos as a teenager through the Academy pathways program before making his NRL debut against the Roosters in Round 11, 2018.
Staggs has gone on to play 131 games for the club and his explosive power and line-breaking ability have helped him chalk up 55 tries.
Youngster Blake Mozer has also signed a two-year extension with the Broncos.
Elsewhere, rising Rooster Naufahu Whyte has signed a three-year extension through to the end of the 2029 season.
Since making his debut in 2021, the 23-year-old Kiwis forward has notched 46 NRL appearances, developing into an integral member of Trent Robinson’s pack.
