INDIANAPOLIS — The Colts have left themselves with little room for flexibility in the 2024 NFL Draft.

Indianapolis prioritized its own free agents this season, preventing any more gaping holes from bursting open in the roster without addressing the obvious needs already left over from a surprising 2023 season. The Colts signed just two outside free agents, picking up Raekwon Davis to provide depth at defensive tackle and Joe Flacco to fill Gardner Minshew’s place at backup quarterback.

Barring any more signings, the Colts must address their list of needs in the NFL Draft, a place where Indianapolis general manager Chris Ballard typically uses his top picks to address the team’s area of greatest need. While there are players like Georgia tight end Brock Bowers or Alabama edge rusher Dallas Turner who could take the Colts to the next level, they both play positions that Indianapolis has plenty of numbers and options.
