To commemorate the arrival of Portuguese striker Beto on Merseyside, one Everton supporter chose to get creative by adding adjustments to their old Samuel Eto’o shirt.

Everton announced earlier this week that they have acquired Udinese striker Beto in an effort to improve their goal-scoring troubles.

The Portuguese attacker, who cost just over £25 million to bring to Merseyside, has already hit the back of the goal for Everton, scoring on his Toffees debut against Doncaster Rovers in midweek.

Getting a tonne of goals is a fantastic technique to win over your new followers. Seeing Beto’s name on the backs of many Toffees fans after his arrival would be a decent indicator of how Beto is regarded at Goodison Park.

For one reason or another, fans occasionally are unable to obtain the most recent home jersey, which forces them to adapt, as one Everton fan demonstrated during the Toffees’ 2-2 draw with Sheffield United.

One creative fan opted to change their 2014–15 Everton home shirt, which featured the name of former Toffees striker Samuel Eto’o, instead of purchasing a new one with Beto’s name and number 14 emblazoned on it. They did this by adding a ‘B’ in front of the ‘Eto’o’ to make it ‘Beto’o.
