The Minnesota Vikings have had one of the most bizarre seasons we’ve seen lately.

Following a slow start and Justin Jefferson’s injury, they managed to right the ship and get to .500 behind Kirk Cousins’ stellar play.

Then, Cousins suffered a season-ending injury, followed by a concussion to backup rookie Jaren Hall.

Joshua Dobbs had to pad up and play with a bunch of people he didn’t even know, and he still managed to lead the team to a win.

With that in mind, and after all he’s been through, Craig Carton believes he could be a legitimate MVP candidate if he keeps this ball rolling and finds a way to beat the New Orleans Saints next week (via The Carton Show).

Of course, Dobbs’ numbers with the Arizona Cardinals were decent, not great, but his record was far from MVP-worthy.

Even so, after being a part of multiple franchises for the past year and finding a way to adapt to every single one of them and play productive snaps for two teams this season, it would make sense to at least put his name in the conversation.

The Vikings still have a big chance to compete for their division.

You could do a lot worse at QB than having Dobbs, who at least has some experience under his belt.

So, if he keeps this up and the Vikings reclaim the NFC North throne, it wouldn’t be so crazy to see him at least crack the conversation.
