Fabrizio Romano, a prominent journalist and columnist for CaughtOffside, reports that Manor Solomon is the latest player to be named for a protracted period of rest after the Israeli forward recently suffered a meniscus injury in training.

When a player twists their joint the wrong way, it frequently results in the unpleasant injury that affects the cartilage in the knee (NHS England).

Manager Ange Postecoglou will have to find a way to cover for the former Fulham loanee after learning that Ivan Perisic will miss the season due to an ACL injury, adding yet another serious injury to his increasing list of victims.

Solomon, 24, will undoubtedly miss a significant portion of the season even though it is still unclear how long he will be sidelined.

The 24-year-old will miss a number of crucial Premier League matches, including the London derby against Chelsea in November and the probable top-of-the-table match against Manchester City in December. He is not anticipated to return until at least Christmas.
