Arnaut Danjuma, an Everton winger, has since issued a message to supporters emphasising the significance of Saturday’s point against Sheffield United.

In a dramatic 2-2 draw at Bramall Lane, the Toffees earned their first point of the year, and 26-year-old Danjuma was quick to emphasise that the visiting supporters were “heard loud and clear.”

After gaining an early lead and falling behind 2-1 at the break, Sean Dyche’s team displayed a strong mental attitude by finding a goal to tie the score early in the second half.

Danjuma scored the equalising goal for the Toffees, his first goal in the Premier League for Everton and his second in as many games after last week’s League Cup victory over Doncaster Rovers.

After the 2-2 tie, the winger highlighted the importance of this “progress” on Twitter.

The Dutch international tweeted: “Progress counts in the big picture. Again today, EVERY Evertonian was heard loud and clear, and the support is appreciated.

Adding Arnaut Danjuma to the Everton starting lineup is working out well.

After joining the Blues on a season-long loan in the summer, 26-year-old Arnaut Danjuma is starting to make a significant impact with two goals in as many games.

In fact, Danjuma is already looking to be a major player in Everton’s assault after scoring the game-winning goal in stoppage time at Doncaster Rovers and then tying the score at Bramall Lane in the second half.

Beto, a fellow newcomer who made his Premier League debut for the Blues, had another strong performance, and Jordan Pickford, another newcomer, praised him as a “great threat” up front for Sean Dyche’s club.

A point on the road and two goals scored is a step in the right direction after failing to earn a point or even score a goal in the first three games of the season, and as Danjuma explains, “progress matters.”
