“As Much As Josh Dobbs Has Gotten This Recognition And Praise, Rightfully So, Brian Flores’s Defense Has Been Spectacular” – Dan Orlovsky Showers Praise On Vikings Coaching Staff For New QB’s Smooth Transition.

In the Week 11 game matchup, the Denver Broncos offense will see if it can improve handling blitzes as Brian Flores-led defense makes it harder to identify incoming blitzers.

The Vikings are leading the NFL in three-man rushes on 79 attempts, allowing 50 completions for 409 yards, two touchdowns, three interceptions, and an opponent passer rating of 69.8.

They also lead the NFL in pass plays with six or more rushers on 103 attempts, allowing 74 completions for 843 yards, nine touchdowns, three interceptions, and an opponent passer rating of 113.0.

Vikings blitz 49% of the time under Flores is of four-man base fronts with a linebacker and an extra edge player (usually a defensive back) going after the quarterback.

Dan Orlovsky claims that the strong play from Joshua Dobbs and the entire defensive unit will spur the Vikings to a victory over the Broncos in Week 11.

On NFL Live, Orlovsky told the other panel praising the Viking defense led by Flores,

“As much as Josh Dobbs has gotten this recognition and praise, rightfully so, Brian Flores’ defense has been spectacular.”

The Viking team is also ninth in defensive EPA/play overall, and they play with a heavy box, which can make it harder to identify incoming blitzers.

On a per-down basis, the Vikings blitz the most in the NFL on first down, the second-most on second down, and fourth-most on third down.
