The Cincinnati Bengals got off to a rough start this season, losing their first two games and three of their first four, and it looked like perhaps their chances of making the playoffs, let alone contending for the Super Bowl, were in jeopardy.

But they’re now on a three-game winning streak that was capped by a convincing win over the San Francisco 49ers on Sunday.

They will have an opportunity to further prove they’re back when they host the Buffalo Bills this weekend in a rematch of last season’s Divisional round.

There, the Bengals blasted the Bills, 27-10, and wide receiver Tyler Boyd says that members of the Bills said they lost that contest only because it was snowing, per Ari Meirov.

In that game, Buffalo quarterback Josh Allen went just 25 of 42 and threw no touchdown passes while also throwing an interception.

Meanwhile, Bengals QB Joe Burrow was 23 of 36 and had two touchdown passes and zero picks.

Burrow suffered a strained calf during training camp a few months ago, and likely as a result, he played horribly to start this season.

But in his team’s last three wins, he has appeared to get his mojo back.

Against the Niners, he was a sizzling 28 of 32 for 283 yards and three touchdowns for an outstanding passer rating of 134.8, and he helped Ja’Marr Chase haul in 10 catches for 100 yards and one touchdown.

The Bills are third in both points allowed and passing touchdowns allowed, so this will be a nice challenge for Burrow as he goes up against another elite QB in Allen.
