The Chicago Bears, coming off a 24-17 loss at the New Orleans Saints in Week 9, have two of their star players, coming off short-term layoffs, questionable (and doubtful for Justin Fields) to return for tomorrow’s Thursday Night Football Week 10 bout hosting the 1-7 Carolina Panthers, tied for last in the NFC alongside the dismal Arizona Cardinals – per Underdog NFL.

What This Means For The Chicago Bears

The Chicago Bears are a totally different team with their number one running back, Khalil Herbert, back in the mix. With the departure of David Montgomery in the offseason to the rival Detroit Lions, and the slow development of rookie Roschon Johnson, the Bears desperately need some rushing help beyond the speedy legs of Justin Fields and the impressive backup duty performed by veteran De’Onta Foreman.

And despite Tyson Bagent’s strong performance against the Las Vegas Raiders, he has very much come back to life since, with a pick prone showing against the Los Angeles Chargers, and a loss to New Orleans last week. Even though Justin Fields has been inconsistent in his play this year, he certainly shows upside beyond the undrafted rookie from Division 2 school, Shepherd University.

Let’s see if Fields and/or Herbert manage to get on the field for this midweek showing, and if so, how big of a help it can give to the floundering Chicago Bear offense.
