The Golden State Warriors are at a crossroads in the 2023-24 NBA season, with the first few months of the season not going in favor of the franchise. They can either continue struggling for the remainder of the season with the current roster or try to make some much-needed improvements to it.  they decide to follow the latter, a trade is undoubtedly required before the NBA Trade Deadline.

The Warriors have been linked to none other than Toronto Raptors forward Pascal Siakam for quite some time now. However, according to NBA analyst Michael Grange via Legion Hoops on Twitter, the Dubs are reluctant to include Jonathan Kuminga in a potential trade package to acquire Pascal Siakam. “According to multiple sources, the Warriors are loathe to trade Kuminga,” Grange wrote.

While Jonathan Kuminga’s numbers are not even close to Siakam’s, as the former seventh overall pick has put up 12.8 points, 4.1 rebounds, and 1.4 assists per game for the Warriors. However, a key advantage that the Warriors have with Kuminga is the fact that he has yet to reach his true potential in the NBA. The young forward has recently managed to convince Steve Kerr to award him quality minutes this season, and hence, the Warriors are hesitant to include him in a trade for Siakam.
