On the final day of the summer transfer window, Trevoh Chalobah reportedly had the option of switching from Steve Cooper’s Nottingham Forest to Mauricio Pochettino’s Chelsea.

According to the Italian writer, Nottingham Forest was determined to acquire Trevoh Chalobah from Premier League opponent Chelsea on the final day of the summer transfer window.

With Chelsea, an agreement worth more than £25 million was reached by Forest.

Chalobah didn’t want to relocate to the Forest, though.

According to Romano, the 24-year-old, who can also play as a defensive midfielder, turned down a potential transfer to the City Ground and chose to remain at Chelsea.

The Englishman came dangerously close to joining Bundesliga champions Bayern Munich, but the deal fell through.

Trevoh Chalobah may now have difficulties at Chelsea.

Trevoh Chalobah won’t likely see a lot of action for Chelsea in the upcoming weeks and months, in our opinion.

The £50,000-per-week (Spotrac) player hasn’t played a single game for the Blues so far this year.

The 24-year-old is not likely to see much action under Chelsea head coach Mauricio Pochettino.

Chalobah has so far appeared in 45 games in the Premier League.

In those contests, the 24-year-old has three goals, one assist, and 13 clean sheets.

If Chalobah leaves Chelsea during the January transfer window, we shouldn’t be shocked.
