Should the Pistons grasp this and follow through, the 76ers front office should come calling immediately. Bogdanovic is a savvy three-level scorer and one of the most consistent shooters in the league. Better yet, he makes reasonable money, and only has a $2 million guarantee on his deal next season.

Detroit will be asking a relative premium for his services to capitalize on the high demand for the Croatian, but Philadelphia has the ammunition to make a definitive bid with their armory of expiring salary-matchers, expendable

Joel Embiid returned to the court last night, and all of a sudden, the Philadelphia 76ers once again look dominant on the hardwood after a bit of a rough stretch for the team with the reigning MVP out. At this juncture, all the team has to do is stay healthy, right?

Not so fast. Despite an increasingly passive stance, the front office should not lie low and simply pass up on opportunities to improve the roster.

While Detroit may not be too candid about it, they are almost guaranteed to trade Bojan Bogdanovic this season. The Pistons are the league’s worst team this season, and common sense points to the franchise eventually parting ways with their widely-coveted veteran to accelerate their rebuild with younger commodities and draft capital.
