PITTSBURGH — The NFL has hit Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver George Pickens with a fine for an unsportsmanlike penalty in Week 16 against the Cincinnati Bengals. Pickens was fined $16,391 for an unsportsmanlike penalty with 9:47 left in the third quarter for pointing at the Bengals defender as he ran toward the endzone on his second touchdown reception. He was not flagged for the play during the game. Pickens finished the game with four receptions for 195 yards and two touchdowns. This was the third time Pickens was fined this season, with the first two coming in Week 7 against the Los Angeles Rams.

It was also the last time Pickens had over 100 yards receiving in a game. Pickens will be looking for another big game as Mason Rudolph gets his second start against the Seattle Seahawks. With his 195-yard performance against the Bengals, he surpassed 1,000 yards for the first time in his career. The Pittsburgh Steelers have struggled all season with drama at the wide receiver position with both Diontae Johnson and emerging young superstar George Pickens.  There was a point when Johnson was starting a fight in the middle of the locker room after a loss and there have been major question marks all season regarding their effort.
