Mohamed Salah wants to remain at Liverpool, according to Dominik Szoboszlai, a player for the club

The Reds turned down a huge £150 million offer for the Egyptian on deadline day from Saudi Pro League champions Al Ittihad.

TalkSPORT has learned that Al Ittihad is prepared to pay more for the star because the Saudi Arabian transfer window is still open until Thursday.

Salah might make as much money at Al Nassr as Cristiano Ronaldo does if he made the switch, but it seems like Salah has already decided what he wants to do with his life.

Szoboszlai remarked following their 3-0 victory over Aston Villa, “We are absolutely glad that he remains.

Naturally, we were conversing privately to one another, but he wants to remain, be here, and be with us.

He stayed, and we are overjoyed. He’s a tremendous athlete and a great guy.” We are pleased because the team needs players like him.

Jurgen Klopp, manager of Liverpool, added: “I didn’t think there had been a little bit of a distraction throughout the week, aside from answering questions about it, not from people inside (the club), but from people outside.

“I don’t know; nobody approached me and warned me that something might happen or whatever. Without a doubt, I would have received a call, but I didn’t.

And Mo didn’t appear to be thinking about anything other than Aston Villa when contributing to each goal.

He has incredible numbers, but it’s not surprising that he does. He also had more opportunities and is currently engaged in establishing, setting up, and other similar activities.

He is a player of the highest calibre, without a question, and I am thrilled to have him on my team.

In the triumph on Sunday, Salah netted his second goal of the year for Liverpool, a simple close-range finish to make it 3-0.

Szoboszlai’s superb goal after just three minutes and Matty Cash’s own goal came before his tap-in.

The Egyptian has made 309 appearances for the team overall, totaling 188 goals in all competitions.

Fans will be thrilled to see him continue at the club after he established himself as such an important component of Liverpool’s success since his arrival in 2017.

When he agreed to a new three-year contract with the Reds last summer, he pledged his future to the team.
